Employees in the EU Twice as Likely to Work From Home Than in the U.S.

In recent data published on Statista, about 5.2% of EU employees between the ages of 15 and 64 work from home. The countries with the highest share of home workers were the Netherlands (14%) and Finland (13.3%), and the lowest were Romania (0.4%) and Bulgaria (0.3%).

By comparison, in the United States there are 3.7 million people who work from home at least half of the time, or about 2.8% of the U.S. workforce. Only 7% of U.S. employers offer workers the option to work from home.
